Local tennis star Luke Missen recently competed in the 2024 Para Standing Tennis World Championships in Turin, Italy.
It was Missen’s first time at the event, a celebration of how Para Standing Tennis is growing fast all over the world.
Missen was one of the first classified PST4 Players to participate in the event and come away with a round one win in the PST3-4 combined men’s singles, before being defeated in the second round.
Missen also competed in the doubles with Kent Ring, the pair bowing out in the first round.
Australia had a three man team at the event, Missen joined by Alex Hunt and world renowned funny man, Adam Hills.
Now he has got the taste of tennis at this level, Missen is keen to become a regular competitor on the world circuit.
