Lucknow continues to sit on top of the East Gippsland netball ladder after 11 rounds, easily accounting for fourth-ranked Boisdale Briagolong at home last Saturday.
The Magpies established a seven-goal advantage in the first quarter, the Bombers forced to play catch up from that time onwards.
The margin grew to 11 by games end, the Bombers still maintaining their hold on fourth spot after Wy Yung proved too good for fifth-placed Orbost Snowy Rovers.
Wy Yung was out of the blocks quickly, establishing an early lead which had blown out to five by the end of the first quarter.
The Tigers are playing with great confidence which is one of the reasons they are again one of the premiership favourites in 2024.
With the lead 13 by three quarter time, the Blues played their best netball for the match in the final quarter, but the match was well and truly out of reach, eventually succumbing by 12 goals, 50-38.
The game of the round was at Stratford where the home side had a ding-dong battle with Lindenow, the sixth side, belittling their standing on the table taking the challenge right up to third placed Swans.
Stratford led by four goals at half time and looked set for an easy win, but the Cats refused to lay down, drawing level in the final term before a couple of late turnovers cost them dearly, going down by two goals in a cracking game.
Sarah Bishop, Alannah Boyd and Paris Toner were all pivotal for the Swans, while Claire Braun, Alana Websdale and Elle Whelan were among the best for the Cats.
Lakes registered its second win for the season, both now over Paynesville, when it ran out an impressive 38-goal winner.
Paynesville brought intensity to the encounter early, not letting the Seagulls have it easy early on as both sides worked hard for possession in a scrappy match.
Lakes eventually found its mojo, tightening up as it piled on the goals, the shooters on fire, Poppy Carroll and Tilly Richardson serving the ballon a silver platter.
Brodie Stubbs was amazing in defence, denying Paynesville scoring opportunities, while Brianna Thewma was steady in wing defence, providing a consistent and reliable outlet for Lakes.
The Seagulls maintained the intensity in the second half, restricting the Gulls to just nine goals for the half.
Best for Lakes Entrance were to Carroll, Abbey Yates and Indi Allen, while for the Gulls they got good service from Alice Shaw, Teale Williams and Mia Clifford.
There are no East Gippsland Football Netball league matches this week as the competition has a bye.
