The Bairnsdale Tennis Club Wednesday ladies held their annual Biggest Morning Tea on Wednesday, May 29, at the clubrooms during their break from tennis.
Players provided a huge spread for all to enjoy, but it did make it a lot harder for players to get back on the courts, they really had to burn the food off.
Once again activities were organised by Julie Webb, with the slice competition won by Betty Parks. Players had to donate a coin to choose a winner.
A raffle was set up with all items donated from the players, while there was a mini auction of donated items.
After finishing their games of tennis, you could buy a slice box for $5 from the remaining morning tea.
“A simple, fun, rewarding morning tea activity which raised $524,” Julie said.
All proceeds were presented to Wendy Whitechurch, nurse unit manager of the day Oncology Unit at Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS).
