The Bairnsdale Sporting and Convention Centre was the venue for the 14th East Gippsland Wedding Expo last Sunday where more than 160 brides, grooms and dreamers attended, all in search of hints, tips and ideas to plan and execute the perfect personalised wedding.
With lunch provided by the venue, Wyanga Park Winery and East Gippsland Kegs and Bars keeping everyone hydrated, decorations beautifully presented by Ella del Wedding and Event Decorators, and acoustic vocals provided by Charlie Moorhouse, the crowds had plenty to ponder with 23 exhibitors offering a long list of wedding needs.
Fashion, beauty, skincare, celebrants, venues, decorators, caterers, wedding gifts and favours were all covered.
The day’s emcee was Megan McCrae who chatted to Skinn Deep’s Jess Logan as she demonstrated makeup application techniques.
Among the East Gippsland stalls were Kianinny Bush Cottages, who travelled from Tathra, New South Wales, to showcase their offerings.
Nikki’s Bickies and Sweets handed out personalised biscuits and Wyanga Park Winery offered wine tastings.
Melissa Rickman was the lucky winner of a TM6 Thermomix while other lucky guests won door prizes. Visit East Gippsland Kegs and Bars’ Facebook page to see how you could win a keg.
Gold coin entry raised more than $240 for the Breast Care Support Fund of East Gippsland.
Thirty brides entered this year’s Bride of the Year, Taylah Hambling winning the title with more than 5000 votes cast.
