Australian family-owned and operated equipment hire company, Kennards Hire, has expanded its presence in the East Gippsland region, with the acquisitions of East Gippsland Hire (EGH) and Riviera Hire in Bairnsdale.
The two sites have been consolidated into a single Kennards Hire branch, conveniently located along the main road in Bairnsdale.
Bringing its state network footprint to 39, the acquisitions represent a significant milestone in Kennards Hire’s regional strategy in Victoria, reinforcing its commitment to serving local communities with their DIY and construction needs. They also complement recent branch openings in Morwell and Ballarat.
In addition to the existing equipment, the East Gippsland community will benefit from increased access to earthmoving equipment.
Kennards Hire area manager Jake Crawford emphasised the significance of the expansion into Bairnsdale, highlighting the company’s dedication to providing exceptional service to local communities across regional Victoria.
“We’re excited to be able to support the Bairnsdale community with their DIY and construction projects,” Mr Crawford said.
“Building on our recent moves into Morwell and Ballarat, and by tapping into the local knowledge and expertise from the East Gippsland Hire and Riviera Hire staff members who have now joined our family, we can comfortably say that no matter where you live in Gippsland, we’ve got you covered.”
Selected pieces of East Gippsland Hire and Riviera Hire equipment and memorabilia will be sent to Sydney and housed in the Kennards Hire Museum.
The new branch is located at 692 Princes Highway, Bairnsdale.
