Since its inception in 2004, Trewin Mortgage Broking has been established as a trusted name in the community, providing personalised and expert services to homeowners and aspiring buyers.
Over the past two decades, the company has weathered market changes, economic shifts, and technological advancements, emerging stronger and more resilient each time.
Robert Trewin began his career in banking, taking a leap on advice from his school Principal to take up an opportunity with
the Westpac bank at age 17.
Within three years, he was promoted to branch manager, the youngest ever within the Westpac network.
After 10 years with the bank, Robert decided to go out on his own as a mortgage broker.
Drawing up a business plan, Robert set up an office at home and placed an ad in the Bairnsdale Advertiser.
On that first morning, he sat down at his desk and wondered where his first client was going to come from.
Thankfully, the phone rang and has continued to ring ever since.
Trewin Mortgage Broking now employs a team of five and attributes its success to a client-centric approach, a dedicated team of professionals, and a commitment to developing strategies
to help their clients
through dynamic market changes.
They assist clients with home, commercial, business, vehicle and equipment finance.
This success has been recognised regionally and nationally, having won countless industry awards over the years including Best Regional Broker.
Founder and managing director, Robert Trewin, reflected on the journey.
