The East Gippsland Ratepayers and Residents Association Inc. (EGRRA), is encouraging residents to read the 2024/25 Draft Budget and provide feedback.
The Draft Budget is open for public consultation until 12pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
Feedback can be provided online via council’s YourSay page or hand delivered to any of council’s service centres and the Bairnsdale Library.
EGRRA is a dedicated volunteer community group of locals committed to making a difference in the community.
The group aims to advocate for improvements in local government procedures and beyond, to seek best value and use of the rate dollars collected by East Gippsland Shire Council (EGSC).
The result should be to obtain the best services and infrastructure possible in the community.
EGRRA Inc. intends to host regular informative public meetings, providing essential updates, and encourages active civic participation.
EGRRA Inc. also has a Facebook and website to disseminate this information to members and non-members alike.
EGRRA Inc. will overview EGSC expenditure and budgets to ensure that effective and prudent financial management is undertaken, ensuring best value for the community’s dollar; and holding local government accountable for their actions, ensuring transparency and responsible governance.
The concerns and priorities of the community are EGRRA’s, they will represent the public in discussions with local government authorities and agencies, while keeping you informed about local matters that impact your life and property.
