Distinctive Options recently reviewed and considered the best ways to acknowledge extraordinary work and/or contributions to the organisation, now and moving
forward.
Unlike Noweyung Ltd, which had the scope and facility within its constitution to award life memberships in recognition of outstanding service, this is not within Distinctive Options’ constitution.
The board of Distinctive Options, following its review, approved a new criteria to be able to honour outstanding service and/or contributions via a new lifetime fellowship awards.
The first recipients for this award due to their outstanding contributions were made to the six living life members of Noweyung.
The lifetime fellowship award ensures an important, ongoing link, between Noweyung and Distinctive Options post the recent merger/acquisition.
At an award ceremony on May 21 in Bairnsdale, Distinctive Options’ chief executive officer, Ernie Metcalf, met with five of the proud lifetime fellowship awardees who all live in East Gippsland.
Lifetime fellowship awardees all commented how humble and delighted they are to be recognised by Distinctive Options for their long and ongoing contributions to the disability sector.
The CEO advised the sixth recipient, Tony Graham who lives in Port Melbourne, will be presented separately with his award.
