Dwyers Motor Group has been inducted into the Gippsland Business Awards Hall of Fame.
The local motor vehicle dealer with more than 125 years of history received the outstanding recognition at last Friday’s awards ceremony at the Federation University Auditorium with more than 300 Gippsland business people in attendance.
Dwyers Group was established in 1898, and has evolved, adapted and survived economic, social and technological change for over 125 years, along the way supporting their community and receiving industry recognition for their excellence in customer service.
“On behalf of Kevin Dwyer, our family, and the entire automotive group, I am truly honoured to accept this prestigious award,” dealer principal Anthony Dwyer said on the night.
“This recognition means the world to us, especially given the challenges we’ve navigated over the generations. As we continue to move forward into new and uncharted territory, we are reminded of the resilience and adaptability that have brought us here.
“Celebrating 125 years in the automotive and transport industry this year, we were touched by the heartfelt congratulations from so many in our industry and community. The relationships we’ve built over a lifetime are the true foundation of our success.
“We also want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the past winners and hall of fame inductees who have set such a high standard. Their dedication has elevated Gippsland’s regional business landscape and inspired others to embrace growth and sustainability.

Candidates for the hall of fame are selected based on their business acumen, ability and integrity, demonstrating outstanding commitment to customer service and providing a positive contribution to their specific industry while enhancing Gippsland’s business image. Dwyers was rewarded for its positive impact on the Gippsland regional business community for its innovation, ambition and clarity of vision.
