Bairnsdale Field Game Club recently held its September event, with the “AA” section taken out by former Olympian Keith Ferguson.
The day attracted a huge field, with 93 competitors taking to the range for the 75-target event.
Other winners were Mark Hadden (“A” grade), Justin Van Putten (“B” grade), Kyle Saari (“C” grade), Tyrone Pearce (sub junior), Jasper Carstein (junior), Claire Merry (ladies) and Jim Wood (veterans).
A 50-target event was won by Stan Wade.
The club was thankful of the support of the shooters, who made the effort and travelled great distances to compete.
As well as the tireless volunteers who make their time available to set up and run the shoots, maintain the ground, run Friday practice, they are the lifeblood of the club.
Practice is now held every Friday from 3pm, with the next shoot, the Thomas Family Memorial to be conducted on October 13.
The club will hold its annual general meeting on Wednesday, September 25, at the clubrooms.
