Community Connections volunteers and visitors in Bairnsdale recently enjoyed a rich cultural event at St Mary’s Parish Hall arranged by volunteer Paul Harris and hosted by the East Timorese community of seasonal workers.
The rich cultural experiences of singing and dancing made the afternoon a wonderful event after a delicious shared meal.
Everyone is welcome to attend these events with the next one to be held at the cafe at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sunday, October 13.
This will be a fundraiser for the family of Euta Tioti from Kiribati who sadly recently passed away at home, he was due to return soon.
He is missed by all his Kiribati and Australian friends and this fundraiser will help provide for his family left behind.
Everyone is welcome to attend and support this event and enjoy more cultural dancing and singing but please bring a plate of food to share.
