The East Gippsland Environmental Schools Day brought local environmental organisations together for the day to deliver seven different environmentally theme-based activities to St Mary’s Primary and Bairnsdale Christian College grade five/six students.
The day proved to be a great success and was enjoyed by everyone that took part.
Educators and facilitators from Parks Victoria, Marine Mammal foundation, Fishcare Victoria, Victorian Fisheries Authority, East Gippsland Landcare Network and East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority delivered a diverse range of activities which focussed on local rivers, the land, marine mammals, sustainable fishing and compliance and also included the amazing range of local marine and native wildlife.
