Farmers Home Hotel – the heart of Lindenow

29 September 2024
in Local News

The Lindenow Farmers Home Hotel is a family-friendly, country-style pub that delivers hearty, high-quality food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Located in the small vegetable-farming town of Lindenow, near Bairnsdale, the hotel has been a community cornerstone since its construction in 1908.

Surrounded by some of the most fertile farming land in Australia, the hotel takes pride in sourcing its produce from local farmers, ensuring that every meal reflects the best of East Gippsland’s fresh offerings.

The hotel offers a variety of weekly specials that keep locals coming back.

On Monday nights, enjoy the takeaway pizza special — buy two large pizzas and receive a free 1.25L soft drink and garlic bread.

Wednesdays feature pot n parma night, with 10 different varieties to choose from.

Thursdays are dedicated to steak lovers, offering a 250g or 500g steak of the week, with the cut and price changing based on supplier availability.

Fridays bring excitement with raffles featuring up to 12 prizes, typically drawn around 7.30pm.

And on Sundays, savour a traditional roast available for both lunch and dinner, with a different roast each week.

To enhance your dining experience, the pub has recently installed a giant TV in the bar — perfect for watching the footy finals — with another screen set to go up in the beer garden soon.

This complements the existing amenities, including a TAB and a pool table, and the newly added outdoor beer garden, which occasionally hosts live music on Friday nights and Sunday lunches.

With its extensive menu featuring roasts, pizza, seafood, vegan and vegetarian options, and a dessert selection that includes tarts and sundaes, The Lindenow Farmers Home Hotel is not just a place to eat but a destination to unwind and enjoy.

Pair your meal with a recommendation from the staff’s excellent selection of local wines or choose from the great range of tap beers available.

Located at 167 Main Road, Lindenow, the hotel is open seven days a week from 11am to 11pm.
