Bairnsdale RSL will host a Remembrance Day service next Monday at the Bairnsdale War Cemetery starting at 10.45am.
The commemoration service will honour local Australian service personnel who have died or suffered in conflicts, wars and peacekeeping operations.
Bairnsdale RSL vice president will give the address, while wreaths will be laid by officials from the Royal Australian Army, Navy and Air Force, followed by the playing of the Last Post at 11am.
Refreshments and morning tea will be served back at the RSL from 11.30am.
Remembrance Day is on November 11 and with that comes a time to reflect on those who gave their lives or suffered in times of war.
The first Remembrance Day was observed at the end of the First World War.
