The Bairnsdale Cricket Association round seven clash between third-placed West Bairnsdale and sixth-placed Wy Yung at Bullumwaal Road ended in a draw.
With rain interrupting play on day one, Wy Yung took its afforded right to bat on, eventually declaring their innings closed at 9/206 after 80 overs.
Ray Stevens remained 30 not out for the Tigers, with the wickets shared between Jack Lind (3/50) and Ryan Halford (4/80).
West was set 207 to win from 66 overs, with the chase never really contemplated, the reigning premier happy to share the points with the emerging Tigers, who at least showed some intent while batting on day.
By stumps West Bairnsdale had limped along to 6/109 from 62 overs cruising along for most of the day, although the Tigers hopes did get a heartbeat for a fleeting moment when three wickets were lost between overs 52 and 54.
Not out batsmen Brodie Anderson (49) and Jacob Zumach (4) averted any potential disasters late in the day with stoic defence.
Anderson again batted his way through the innings, though the attacking player we have seen this season was replaced by the unmovable batting object we have seen in recent seasons, facing 189 deliveries.
Darcy Murray bowled superbly for the Wy Yung taking 4/25 from 18 overs.
West looks in good shape for another tilt at premiership glory, while the Tigers with the addition of Sean
Philipson, Ray Stevens and David Wolfe in recent weeks, loom as a side which could potentially push for a finals spot in the back half of the season.
