Bairnsdale Secondary College has announced its 2024 Dux students – Albert Van der Kaap, the VCE Dux, and Kayla Jennison, the VCE VM (Vocational Major) Dux.
Albert received an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) of 95.4 and was awarded the Townsend Award. The Townsend Award is presented to the student who receives the highest ATAR in VCE.
Kayla was awarded the Fischer Award which is presented to the student who is the highest achiever in VCE VM.
Fourteen of the college’s students were recognised as high achievers, two students achieved an ATAR above 90 and a further three students received an ATAR above 80 with nine students above 70.
“A huge congratulations to all Bairnsdale Secondary College students who have successfully completed their VCE and VCE VM in 2024. You should all be very proud of your accomplishments; we look forward to seeing what your next chapter brings. We are sure it will be amazing. Well done,” principal Tony Roberts said.
