It’s an icy morning in Metung’s village just before 10 o’clock on Saturday morning.
The streets are unsually quiet with just a group of men huddled around a table on the footpath outside Cafe Chez Joe as Lynette Coulson from L.J. Hooker Real Estate readjusts her open sign outside the agency.
While winter may not have arrived, the cold chill in the air signals it’s not far away.
Ms Coulson concedes winter is normally a quiet period for real estate sales in Metung.
“Metung’s property market is seasonal in any case, summer time is generally when we have plenty of inquiries,” she tells the Advertiser.
