A police operation is underway across East Gippsland’s caravan parks and campsites.
Codenamed, 'Operation Esky’, it will see a highly visible police presence in the region’s major holiday destination hotspots.
Traditionally, during the Christmas-New Year period, East Gippsland plays host to a significant number of visitors.
The focus for police is to conduct high volume, high visibility police patrols during daylight and twilight hours to deter, prevent and apprehend offenders committing thefts from caravan and tourist parks.
