Work started last week on a $2.3 million upgrade of NAB’s Bairnsdale banking hub.
Similar to NAB’s recent investments in Traralgon and Sale, this investment will bring the latest range of banking technology and services to Bairnsdale, including better access to after-hours banking services for local businesses and more spaces to meet our customers.
The branch has now closed ahead of construction, with the new hub reopening in the existing 145 Main Street location in late March.
While works take place, NAB has opened a temporary ‘pop-up’ branch in the Eastwood Village Shopping Centre. The pop-up is staffed by colleagues from the local branch and is also equipped with a SmartATM, allowing customers to make deposits and withdrawals.
NAB customers can also do their banking fee-free at post offices in the broader area, using the Bank@Post service. This includes the Bairnsdale CBD, Lindenow, Paynesville, Nicholson and Swan Reach post offices.
“Work has started on our new-look Bairnsdale Hub, which will open to the community at the existing Main Street location in late March,” NAB Bairnsdale branch manager Sharon Dahan said.
“NAB has been a part of Bairnsdale community for over 100 years and we are excited to welcome our customers into our new-look modernised branch. The $2.3 million branch upgrade will include customer meeting rooms, iPads available for online banking and 24-hour access to two Smart ATMS and a Business deposit and quick-change machine.”
The Pop-Up will be open Monday-Thursday, 9.30am to 4pm, and Friday 9.30am to 5pm.
Customers can also visit the nearest NAB branch at 299 Esplanade, Lakes Entrance, for any of their banking needs.
