It was monthly medal day at Bairnsdale Golf Club last Wednesday, with a spectacular hole-in-one by Jenny Brittian upstaging the medalist.
Brittian aced the eighth hole, part of an impressive net score of 70, not quite good enough for event victory, but that was the least of her concern with a smile that will take some wiping off.
Ladies’ president Jenny Hemming took the March medal with a sensational 66.
Nadine Martin was victorious in “A” grade on countback with 71 net, while Kerry Hine was the winner in “C” grade with a well-compiled score of 68.
The course played sensational, evident by the outstanding scores posted by many of the 72 women who hit the fairways.
