East Gippsland Netball commenced last Saturday, with the winners being Boisdale Briagolong, Lucknow and Orbost Snowy Rovers.
Last year’s minor premier and runner-up Lucknow commenced their season in style, accounting for Lakes Entrance by 27 goals.
Boisdale Briagolong who were put out in the preliminary final last year, beat Stratford in the local derby, 43-29.
While last years premier, Orbost Snowy Rovers outclassed a persistent Paynesville by 43 goals, 66-23.
This week sees the competition have a week off for the Easter long weekend.
Matches will recommence on April 26, with Lakes Entrance hosting Boisdale Briagolong, Stratford at home to Lindenow, Wy Yung playing their season opener at Bullumwaal Road against Orbost Snowy Rovers and Paynesville welcoming Lucknow to AJ Freeman Reserve.
