East Gippsland’s public champion for the awareness of prostate cancer, Moss Mahony, of Lakes Entrance is calling for people in our area who have been affected or touched by prostate cancer to consider making a submission in relation to the formulation of new clinical guidelines for early detection of prostate cancer.
Moss said just about anyone can make a submission from people concerned about the risk of prostate cancer to health professionals, consumer organisations, policy makers, or any member of the public.
Also individuals on behalf of organisations or groups can make a submission by contacting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia on before Sunday, May 25.
The draft guidelines are designed to supersede the 2016 clinical practice guidelines for PSA testing recognising the significant advancement in diagnosis and treatment have created an evidence based pathway for a more structured testing program.
