There were no surprises in round seven of the Omeo and District netball competition with the top three sides winning comfortably.
Unbeaten Omeo Benambra made light work of the Buchan at the Benambra Recreation Reserve winning by 44 goals, 66-22.
Swan Reach got back on the winners’ list, outclassing Lindenow South by 25 goals at home.
Zoe Blewitt and Shannon Gotthold battled hard for the Swampies.
Bruthen won the closest match of the round against a gallant Swifts Creek by 11 goals.
The match developed into a battle of the defences as the Bulldogs prevailed 30-19.
After a week’s rest for the King’s Birthday holiday long weekend, Omeo and District Football Netball League action will restart on Saturday, June 14.
Buchan will welcome Bruthen, Swifts Creek is at home to Lindenow South, while Swan Reach and Omeo Benambra will do battle at the Swan Reach Recreation Reserve.
