In a first for Jansons Concrete and Haulage, the business has recently completed the construction of its first “A” trailer.
The trailer took around six weeks to build and around two weeks to be fitted out – it’s now destined for Queensland to haul cattle.
Every component of the trailer, including the design, was made on-site, except for the suspension.
The client for the trailer reached out to the local business after learning that it would take 1-2 years to be made elsewhere.
“For us, it started out as just refurbishing and repairing old trailers – that’s since grown to us building them,” owner, Jarrod Jason said.
“We now have other trailers under construction here at our site.”
The trailers usually last for around 10 years, with the flooring needing to be replaced after that time.
