On Saturday, November 8, Lindenow Lions Club will celebrate its 50th year.
The club held its first official meeting on November 25, 1975, after being sponsored by Stratford Lions Club.
The inaugural meeting was held in the Lindenow Hall with 23 members present.
During its 50 years of existence the club has raised many thousands of dollars to assist with local, national and international projects.
A feature of the club’s program had been
the establishment and organisation of the
East Gippsland Field Days over the past 38
years.
It is expected that many past members of both the Lindenow Lioness and Lions Clubs will return to celebrate the milestone which will again be held with a dinner in the Lindenow Hall.
