Fourteen-year-old Nagle College student Alexandra O’Brien and senior student at Bairnsdale Secondary College Logan Hudson are both off to Türkiye, representing Australian students as part of the Premier’s Spirit of ANZAC Prize.
Both students are supported by the Bairnsdale RSL and were briefed by members of the branch including president of the Bairnsdale RSL Sub-branch, Allan Pappin CVO AM on Tuesday evening.
Members of the girl’s family also attended the meeting.
Guiding teachers, Penny Townsend and Julie Henley helped the lucky winners, preparing their submissions for possible consideration for the trip to Türkiye.
