The annual Bairnsdale Golf Club tournament has concluded after another highly
successful event.
The club is grateful for the support of members, visitors and sponsors, with many players travelling great distances to be involved and reconnect with old friends.
The event began last Monday with stableford, with Helen Rose (41 points) the ladies winner and Peter Alldis (40) the men’s.
Tuesday was ambrose day, with the women’s handicap winners Isabel Hussey, Leonie Taylor, Llewella Patterson and Vanessa Stokes, while in the scratch section it was Chrissy Fisher, Jeanette Obst, Sue Gannon and Sue Ffrench.
Wayne Phillips, Jeff Hathaway, Graeme Piera, and Jeff Lawson were the men’s handicap winners, with the scratch event going to Barry Kubale, Greg Emerton, Jack Young
and Don May.
Wednesday’s women’s 27 hole stroke event winners were Robyn Walker (“A” grade), Fran Mantell with (‘B” grade) and Rose (‘C” grade).
Handicap winners were Maddison Kelly
(“A” grade), Anne Crowe (“B” grade) and Rose (“C” grade).
Thursday 4BBB men’s stroke event went the way of Greg Emerton and May, while on Friday the 4BBB women’s “A” grade winners were Lyn Beeck and Mary Anne Emerton, with “B” grade was taken out by Jennifer Gibbs and Jodie O’Connell.
