Nagle College is celebrating a record-breaking year of academic achievement, with its 2025 VCE and VCE Vocational Major (VM) results marking the strongest performance in the school’s history.
Central to this success is college Dux Semi Jung, whose exceptional ATAR of 97.45 places her among the region’s top academic achievers.
Semi’s result reflects years of commitment, discipline and high-level academic performance. Staff described her as a diligent and motivated learner who consistently set an exemplary standard for her peers.
Her achievement caps off a year in which Nagle College students excelled across both academic and vocational pathways.
Alongside Semi’s accomplishment, the college achieved a 100 per cent completion rate for both VCE and VM.
Emily Pendergast was named VM Dux, and Maddison Sroczynski received the Fr John Borel Award for Most Outstanding VM Student.
Key highlights from this year’s VCE outcomes include:
– 100 per cent VCE completion rate

In acknowledging Semi’s achievement, the school highlighted the rigorous effort and academic resilience demonstrated throughout her senior years.
“Semi’s result exemplifies what is possible when hard work, curiosity and perseverance come together,” a statement read.
“She has contributed significantly to the academic culture of our senior years and can be immensely proud of her achievement.”
GRAMMAR DUX
Gippsland Grammar’s Dux was Prefect Mia Humphris with an ATAR of 97.15 after studying economics, literature, French, Japanese and maths methods as well as global politics last year.
This exceptional score will allow Mia to pursue her passion in arts and global studies at university.
Principal Dr Paul Walton said Gippsland Grammar was proud to celebrate students who received an ATAR that placed them in the top percentage of students in the state, who achieved perfect study scores of 50 and who achieved their own individual successes leading to first choice placements at some of the best universities in the world.
Paynesville’s Pablo Oates achieved an ATAR of 92.7, which will set him off for studies in design and engineering.
