Starting on Saturday, January 3, the Metung Yacht Club sailing committee has organised Racing Rules of Sailing Workshops.
These workshops are aiming to reinforce sailors’ knowledge of the rules during the busy January sailing program.
The workshops will be run on the next three Saturdays from 9-10.30am.
The workshops will be live streamed on Zoom for those unable to attend in person.
It is highly recommended for those attending to bring a copy of the Racing Rules of Sailing, as the workshops will be interactive and participants will be engaged to contribute.
The first workshop will focus on rules applied at the windward mark and also an explanation of “umpire observation” which will be used in the East Gippsland Etchells Championships and FD Nationals being held over the Australia Day weekend.
