The sun shone brightly at the Moe outdoor pool last Saturday for Gippsland Swimming Incorporated’s 13th and final meet of the season.
A total of 105 swimmers enjoyed racing outdoors, taking the opportunity to prepare for upcoming school swimming events and the Gippsland Championships. The meet gave many young athletes a chance to gain confidence in their racing and fine-tune their technique.
Club relays were held midway through the session for bragging rights, with the East Gippsland Water Dragons coming out on top over Moe and Traralgon. These relay races also provided valuable practice ahead of the Gippsland Championship relays.
Despite it being the last meet of the season, many swimmers recorded significant personal bests, demonstrating the progress and dedication of Gippsland’s next generation of competitive swimmers.
