Bairnsdale Secondary College has honoured the ANZAC spirit with a commemorative service held on Friday, April 24, bringing students, staff and guests together to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps service men and women.
The service featured special guest Raymond Rock from the Bairnsdale RSL, along with a number of former students who returned to the college to pay their respects.
College captains delivered heartfelt speeches, drawing on their own family histories and reflecting on the enduring legacy of service, mateship and resilience that continues to shape the nation. Their contributions underscored the importance of remembrance and gratitude in the ANZAC tradition.
The commemorations continued on Saturday, with Bairnsdale Secondary College also taking part in the ANZAC Day march through Bairnsdale, joining the wider community in paying tribute to those who have served.
