Football Netball East Gippsland (FNEG) commissioners have officially determined the host venues for the upcoming 2026 East Gippsland Football Netball League (EGFNL) finals series following a recent board meeting.
With Bairnsdale Football Netball Club set to host Maffra in the final round of the Gippsland League season on Saturday, August 22, the EGFNL second semi final will instead take place at the Lucknow Recreation Reserve.
Commissioners selected Lucknow as the venue for the high-stakes clash due to its central geographic location for participating EGFNL clubs and supporters across the region.
All remaining fixtures throughout the post-season will be staged at the Bairnsdale City Oval, kicking off with the cut-throat elimination final on Sunday, August 23.
The preliminary final will follow on Saturday, August 29, before the 2026 season reaches its crescendo with the grand final on Saturday, September 5.
