Bairnsdale Amateur Basketball Association is set to roll out an exciting three-week pilot program this September aimed at bringing the local basketball community together through a wide range of social and inclusive opportunities.
Designed for players of all ages and abilities, the trial initiative will offer a diverse mix of formats from September 1 to 15, with the final week taking place during the first week of the school holidays.
Throughout the fortnight, the association will trial junior and senior 3×3 competitions, walking basketball, “D” grade men’s and women’s divisions, mixed social basketball, and over 40s competitions for both men and women.
Younger enthusiasts will be catered for with “Come and Try” sessions hosted for under 8 and under 10 age groups.
The pilot will also feature a series of skills events for participants to test their abilities, including a three-point shootout, a dedicated skills course and knockout competitions.
