Several boats and crews were rewarded for outstanding efforts throughout the season at the Metung Yacht Club presentation night.
Harmony had a great season, winning the Commodore’s Cup, Ray Dunn Memorial Race, Charles Mylius Race and the Sou’wester series.
Harmony and her crew also won the Bowmen of Metung trophy race and took line honours in the Storm Point Handicap race.
Unfortunately, the owners of Harmony were unable to attend the trophy presentations, but her crew – Peter LeRoy and Michael Metcalfe – were on hand to represent the yacht.
There are only a few classic wooden boats that race at Metung, with these boats requiring a considerable number of crew members.
Sorrento took out the annual Gaffer Challenge, Calypso and Matalita Trophies, with several members of the delighted crew present to collect the spoils.
