Cubs from the Bairnsdale Scout Group headed up to Dinner Plain last Sunday for an action-packed family snow day.
The Cubs along with their families, which also included several (younger) Joeys and (older) Scouts, had a great time in perfect alpine conditions. Tobogganing was a highlight for many.
Some tried snowshoeing on the trails for the first time, while others attempted skiing or just had fun making snow-balls and snow-people.
All the day’s activities helped to contribute toward their Alpine Outdoor Adventure Skills badge work and it was a great opportunity for the younger Joeys who attended to get some experience in the snow ahead of their two-day Alpine Camp coming up late this month.
