The Bairnsdale Netball Association (BNA) rounded off its preparation for the upcoming Association Championships with a solid showing at the annual Sale Netball Association tournament.
It was a cold and windy day, not ideal for netball but all squad members gave it their all, the BNA coming away with some great results.
The under 17s, under the tutelage of Tom Hardwick, made it through to the grand final, before being defeated by the North Gippsland Football Netball League.
In the under 15s, the red side finished fifth after the qualifying rounds, while the blue side made it through to the grand final, where they went down to a slick Casey outfit.
In the under 13 competition, the blue side made it through to the semi-finals and the red side finished seventh after the home and away rounds.
Both under 11 sides were impressive in their respective competitions that don’t have finals.
The blue side finished third, while the red team were in sensational form going through the day unbeaten.
It was the under 11s final tournament for the season and they certainly raised the bar, impressing coaches and parents with their development.
The BNA was thankful of the huge support crew that goes on the road to these tournaments with them – coaches, team managers and scorers whose contribution allow everything to run smoothly.
The Association Championships will be held at the Gippsland Regional Sporting Complex in Sale on Sunday, June 2.
