Don’t want to travel too far for a few days away? Head out to Echo Bend Camping Park for the King’s Birthday break.
Coinciding with the East Gippsland Winter Festival, Julie will be once again allowing people to join in some fun on Saturday, June 8, and make some lovely lanterns to decorate your camp site or the grounds ready for winter.
This unique caravan/camping park is a hidden gem.
There are powered and unpowered sites for tents, roof tops, camper vans and caravans.
There are also clean amenities with hot showers.
You can find a secluded spot, observe the wildlife or bring a group and enjoy telling stories around a camp fire while cooking marshmallows, a nice way to relax for a few days away from the house, business or farm.
You may even be lucky to spot some friendly wallabies in the nearby bush.
To get a bit of exercise you can venture on a small trail from the camp ground to the National Park, visit the Den of Nargun.
The camping park adjoins the Mitchell River National Park, just 45 minutes from Bairnsdale on the Lindenow-Dargo Road.
