The Bairnsdale and Traralgon Table Tennis Association’s held their annual inter club competition on the weekend.
Traralgon sent a strong team of 18 pennant and 18 keenagers up the highway to Bairnsdale for the friendly day of competitive table tennis.
Both associations have been using the get together for several years as a warm up, for the players intending to go to the Victorian Country Championships in June.
The event is always a great workout for the players but is also an enjoyable social outing for like minded individuals
The results went convincingly to the team from Traralgon but with 20 of the matches going to five sets it was a lot closer than the scores may indicate.
Bairnsdale Table Tennis president, Brian Blythman, was disappointed to lose but delighted to be part of a great day.
“Congratulations to the Traralgon Table Tennis Association for winning the day but also thank you for playing the games in such a friendly spirit,” Blythman said.
The Victorian Country Table Tennis Championships will be held from June 8-10 at the Gippsland Regional Sports Stadium in Traralgon.
