The “A” grade East Gippsland netball grand final teams for tomorrow’s blockbuster clash are locked in.

“A” GRADE

GD – Emily Anderson

C – Erica Lynch

WA – Sarah Redenbach

GA – Macy Tatnell

GS – Emma Sanford

INT – Ashley Coates, Harriet Campbell, Courtney Evans, Stacey Ashley, Tamara Gordon.

COACH – Erica Lynch

Johanna Seal – Goal Attack/Goal Shooter
Can play whatever role is needed in the goal ring and is a very accurate shot.
Chelsea Di Cecco – Wing Defence/Centre
Versatile through the midcourt and defence. Can play whichever role the team requires.
Kirsty Herbert – Goal Defence
Relentless in defence. Will not back down from a contest and goes hard for every ball.
Alison Redenbach – Wing Defence
The team’s quiet achiever who often flies under the radar with the quality of talent around her, seldom beaten. Graduated from last year’s under 17 side and hasn’t missed a beat.
Hayley Morton – Goal Keeper
Finished runner-up in the league best and fairest. A disciplined reliable defender who joined the Magpies this season from Hastings. Always up for the contest.
Erica Lynch – Centre
The pocket dynamo has made a huge impact since crossing from the successful Wy Yung program this season to take on the coaching role. Fast, smart and never beaten.
Ashley Coates – Goal Defence
Tough defensive player who never gives or asks for an inch.
Emily Anderson – Goal Defence/Wing Defence
Is an unpredictable young talent with plenty of upside after moving straight from junior level last season to “A” grade this season.
Macy Tatnell – Goal Attack
In her second season at the club since making the move from Bairnsdale. Strong and determined and makes the opposition pay at every opportunity.
Sarah Redenbach -Wing Attack/Centre
Has all the attributes of a good player, as well as being consistent and reliable. Always among the best.
Hayley Boxall – Goal Attack
An accurate long-range shooter, uses speed to move quickly around the ring and down the court.
Courtney Evans – Goal Shooter
The team’s back up shooter who gets the job done when the opportunities arise.
Emma Sanford – Goal Shooter
Calm, composed and reliable with a fierce desire to succeed, can make finishing off the good work of midcourt look easy when on song.
Harriet Campbell – Goal Attack/Goal Shooter
Under 17 development player in goals, who has all the attributes of being a leader and gun player in the next generation of Magpie stars.
Stacey Ashley – Defender
Experienced defender who has played mainly in “B” grade this season, up for the challenge if called on to take the court.
Tamara Gordon – Midcourt
Club legend who can still mix it with the best if required to suit up in “A” grade.
Lauren Treacy – Wing Attack/Centre
Uses her speed and agility to beat her opponent. Makes smart decisions to feed the ball to the shooters accurately.
Hollie Fuhrmann – Centre/Wing Attack
A smart player who knows just when and where to drive and how to read the play. Not afraid to take risks.
Jewel Catlin – Goal Keeper
Sticks like glue to her player and uses her body smartly to block her opponent out of the play. Rebounds strongly.
Courtney Wade – Wing Defence/Goal Defence
The most versatile player on the team having played almost every position this year. Most valuable in defence when on the hunt for a loose ball.
Lucy Quin – Centre/Wing Defence
Will beat any opponent in speed and fitness, she will go full speed all game and show no signs of fatigue, brings the ball down the court with speed.
Karina Robinson – Goal Shooter
A dominant shooter, holds strong but can change up her movements in the ring to get the ball. A strong rebounder.
Katie Pearce – Goal Keeper
A strong defender with a massive vertical jump, very impressive when rebounding.
