Its 2024 campaign may have just ended, but Wy Yung Football Netball Club is quickly out of the blocks appointing Brodie Anderson as senior coach for 2025.
The Tigers made it through to the preliminary final in 2024, going down narrowly to Boisdale Briagolong, who will do battle with Lucknow for ultimate glory at the Bairnsdale City Oval tomorrow.
Anderson replaces Rod Bills, whose two-year tenure at the club includes the 2023 premiership victory over Boisdale Briagolong.
A well-credentialed youth coach with Wy Yung, Bairnsdale and East Gippsland under-age sides, Anderson coached the Tigers under 16 team to a premiership during his first season in 2017.
In recent times he has been a key part of our senior coaching team as an assistant over a number of years and played in the 2023 senior premiership, where he kicked 51 goals in 18 games.
Anderson is both delighted and honoured to have appointed to the role.
“I’m really excited to lead such a proud football and netball club in 2025, I’m continually excited by the improvement of our young group and looking forward to working hard and achieving success,” Anderson said.
