Another week closer to Christmas and while most people are counting calories or drinks, the crew at Riviera Triathlon Club is counting the kilometres and medals.
Several members recently attended round two of the 2XU series at Brighton, with Simon Whitford once again showing that age is just a number winning the 55-59 year old age group in an impressive time of hour and four minutes.
Ben Osmand (1.03.57) came fourth in the 40-44 year old age group while Ryan Vardy (1.19.44) finished 28th in the 44-49 age category.
Mia Whitford (1.16.13) got a taste of the podium, finishing third in the female 15-19 age category, with Obi Vardy (1.04) finishing fourth in the male youth elite category.
Arki Vardy (1.03.34) finished eighth in the male junior elite, while Andrew Martin (1.12.17) placed fifth in the 55-59 age group in an 1.12.17.
Ethan Sanderson competed in the Hallora marathon 24km challenge finishing fourth out of a field of 172 in a time of one hour and 35 minutes, beating his previous time by three minutes and 13 seconds.
