There’s plenty happening in Gippsland, with fish on the bite.
Squid, salmon and flathead are biting in Port Welshpool and Port Albert, while eels and mullet are keeping anglers happy in Tarraville.
Offshore at Yarram, salmon are still active, but the flathead are a bit of a hit and miss.
Along the 90 Mile, salmon, flathead, gummy shark, and tailor are being landed, with plastics doing the trick for the tailor, and salmon and slimies for the gummies.
The bream are on as well, with solid reports coming from Lake Tyers and the Tambo River.
Over in the Mitchell River, reports of landing several nice bream on prawns, most measuring in the mid-30 centimetres, before reeling in a ripper 51 centimetre fish.
Happy angling, tight lines and hang on.
