Heading into his second season in Sprintcars, local racer Koby Noonan has one main goal, to be a consistent top five contender throughout his 2025/2026 season campaign.
After finishing fourth during last season’s SRA series point standings, Noonan has mapped out a 14 night season schedule throughout Victoria.
“I’m very excited about my second season in Sprintcar racing, and I feel that I learned quite a lot, which I’m hoping can be the launching pad for an improved run this season,” the 24-year-old Noonan said.
He is really looking forward to being able to race twice on home soil, at the Bairnsdale Speedway this season.
“My main goal for this season is to be a top five contender on a consistent basis, and if I can do that, I’m hoping I can improve on my fourth place finish in last season’s SRA Series point score,” Noonan said
Apart from being consistent, Noonan is looking to continue his steep Sprintcar learning curve.
“When it comes to Sprintcar racing, there is so much to learn, and as they say, it’s basically a five-year apprenticeship, and here I am in my second year,” Noonan said
During the off season, Noonan made the massive trip up to Cairns Speedway in North Queensland to compete in the Thunder in the Cane Fields over two weekends in August.
It was a mixed run for Noonan and his team, which saw them in the wars during the opening weekend with two crashes and then they bounced back the following weekend to come away with a pair of top 10 finishes.
The first outing of the new season for Noonan is set to be this Friday night at his home track, the Bairnsdale Speedway.
