Fishcare Victoria will soon launch a new Catch a Carp education campaign, aimed at helping fishers understand the impact of carp on local waterways and promoting responsible fishing practices.
The campaign will feature carp fishing events across Bairnsdale, Geelong, Melbourne, Ballarat, and southwest Victoria, including live demonstrations and talks from guest speakers.
The project is one of 20 to share in more than $2 million from the Recreational Fishing Grants Program.
Sessions will give fishers practical tips on carp management and highlight how their actions can make a difference to the health of Victoria’s rivers and lakes.
More information on event dates and locations will be available soon.
