It was a perfect result for in-form Bairnsdale backman, Ricky Tatnell, playing in his 100th senior match in a huge Gippsland League win against neighbour Sale last Saturday.
Tatnell, who debuted in 2015 as a 16-year-old, has been in career-best form this season, amassing another 18 possessions last Saturday including 10 marks.
The smooth moving 25-year-old has linked well in recent weeks with coach Logan Austin, exciting youngster Randall Stewart, Kieran Vickery and key defender Hugh Longbottom.
“It’s great to finally get 100 games, I’m really enjoying my season. Randall Stewart has his mojo back and swinging the coach back in recent weeks has really tightened it back there,” Tatnell said.
Tatnell is looking forward to what the remainder of the season may offer up for the in-form Redlegs.
“We only won five games last year and have already achieved that this season, it’s exciting what this group could achieve,” Tatnell said.
