The Bairnsdale Field and Game October event attracted a field of 71 for the Thomas Family Memorial event which has been held for more than 30 years.
Competition was hot with the overall winner of the 75-target handicap being Jason Corbett.
Other winners were Tim Marshall (“AA” grade), Michael Lawless (“A” grade), Jarrod Krautz (“B” grade) and Craig Chase (“C” grade).
Junior winners were Raymond Garro and Nicholas O’Kelly, with Meg Perry taking out the ladies and Gordon McAlpine the veterans.
In the 50-target handicap event, Duncan Ross was successful.
Bairnsdale Field and Game Club is grateful for the continued support of the Thomas family and for the shooters who travel from all over Gippsland to participate.
As well as the volunteers who make their time available to set up and run the shoots, maintain the ground, run Friday practice etc, they are the lifeblood of the club and they could always do with additional help if you anyone has some spare time.
Practice currently is every Friday from 3pm weather permitting.
